This was the first tree skirt I made....it didn't become a tree skirt as I couldn't bring myself to cut it LOL so it stayed whole and became a table cover



I love Bucilla kits and this stocking was so quick to make.



My first Bucilla kit, made about 8 years ago and still looks as good as new! :D



The sleigh I threatened to post a few weeks ago LOL and some cream cartons with chocs inside YUM!!

SANTA'S BEEN !!!

I hope you all had a Wonderful and Joyful Christmas. I'm sure you were all on the "NICE" list LOL
I had a super time with my family and couldn't have asked for a happier day especially as this was Jack's second Christmas and he was really excited.
Jack helped us all to hang our stockings at the fireplace and was especially careful with Storm's stocking....he does love her so much :D
Santa came to our house late on Christmas Eve and we managed to take a few sneaky photos without being spotted LOL
Christmas morning arrived here at 9ish ( which was very good considering) and Jack's face was a picture when he came down stairs and saw all the presents left by Santa ( Grandpa's face was one of shock too ;)LOL)

Where do the days go ? I can't believe it's only 2 weeks till Christmas ! Am I ready ...... eh...NO !!LOL
I have been very remiss in my blogging and uploading photos of my Christmas goodies but I have made ....
1 A sleigh.... no it's not a figment of my imagination LOL
2 Lots of cards
3 Tons of ickle soured cream containers filled with chocs
4 A few notepads decorated to suit each recipient
5 An address book ( still to be bound with BIA)
6 Some little pressies for table settings
7 A hanging NOEL banner ( just to have ribbon added )
8 In the middle of sewing a Bucilla stocking

Still a lot to do before the Big Man arrives ( no I don't mean Alan LOL)

Sleigh Bells Ring ....

I've finished it !!! My Santa sleigh that is :) I'm really pleased with it and can't wait to fill it with goodies :)

Jack's Christmas Photo Shoot

Jack had his photo shoot yesterday morning and what fun we had ... including the photographers LOL . Lauren bought Jack a fab Santa suit and he loooked sooooo cute in it. Now, keeping the hood up for the photos ... that was another matter. In the end we had to admit defeat LOL

I haven't yet uploaded the photos of my Christmas crafting from my camera .... SURPRISE!!!! NOT! LOL.
I was productive again today and put the finishing touches to a sleigh I bought last October from "MDF Man" at the SECC. He has some super MDF blanks all primed ready for altering and at extremely reasonable prices. Fee and I bought more goodies this year but they may have to wait till Dec2010 to be altered LOL.

FA LA LA LA LA ! ! ! !

I'm back....... I had a great day in Perth on Thursday with my BF Fee, we spent the day shopping for Christmas gifts and decorations and I was in Seventh Heaven LOL !

We left early in the morning ( well early for me)and had the whole day to ourselves just rooting around in the cute shops. We did manage a couple of hours with Hazel who owns the FAB "South Littleton Farm" in Blairgowrie, Fee was delivering a Scor-pal board and we stayed to make a couple of projects and give Hazel a head start with her board.( I think she loves it as much as we do) A group of us are having a scrapbooking weekend at South Littleton in January and I can't wait, the facilities are superb and the craft room.......well go and check it out for yourselves... you will not be disappointed, I promise!!

Hazel showed us some Journal Jars she had made for a craft fair and they are wonderful. As we were leaving she very kindly gave us one each, they are so beautiful and shall be treasured :). We left Blairgowrie after 4pm and as it was already dark we were lucky enough to see all the Christmas lights in the town. WOW !!! Beautiful !!!

I've been quite productive this week and have managed to make a few christmas goodies, shall post photos tomorrow

MIA ...again!

I have been very negligent in my blogging :( I do however have an excuse...I have sore feet !!!!! Don't laugh...ok you can for a wee minute LOL. I have been to see the Doc ( only after a lot of nagging from family and friends *cough* Fee *cough*)and I have nerve damage which is making my feet and legs extremely sore, it's all related to the damn CD ...cue violin music ... Oh well, at least I know what it is and I'll just keep it till it goes away. **bring on the medication** LOL

I've actually been making more Christmas cards and have made a start on Lauren and Jack's Disneyland mini book, I can't upload the images though as they aren't assembled yet. That's my story and I'm sticking to it !!!LOL

Off now to "batten down the hatches" as we're in for a stormy night by the sounds of it.

Another Christmas Card....

I'm really trying to use my Stampin-up stamps :)
Materials used for this one-
Small white deckle edge card blank, MME patterned paper from the Alissa range ( background paper and tree) silver card cut using square nesties die, Stampin-up tree image, memento black ink, gel pens, quicky glue pen and glamour dust.
All materials available from "The Papercraft Company" (with the exception of SU stamp)



I have made more than 2 cards LOL !!!

Jack was having great fun with a mobile phone. It vibrated and played a tune when turned on and off, he thought this was sooo funny ! LOL

Materials used:-
Papers, Stickers, Transparencies, Cut outs; My Little Yellow Bicycle Babay Safari, Boy range. Herma Repo. Brads; from my stash.

12 x 12 !!!!

I have scrapped two 12 x 12 layouts..............I had to lie in a darkened room afterwards as I haven't scrapped this size for years ....but....I liked it !! LOL.

Fee and I went to the SECC on Friday for the craft fair. We weren't impressed at all (again)we really shouldn't keep going but we're frightened we miss something spectacular, hmmm hasn't happened yet.
Three shops out of the whole show caught my eye, Stamposaurus, Snazzy and can't remember the other one. The demo at Snazzy was very interesting, the lady was using distress inks, a stencil brush (think that's what it's called) a mask and some lovely stamps. The effect was very striking and I need to have a little go at some point....watch this space ..but don't hold your breath LOL

Playtime at Leah's house

I had a super day yesterday :D
Went to lunch with my BFs Fee, Izzy and Sandra. We were joined by Fee's daughter Laura, Sandra's daughter Lauren and grandaughter Leah and my Lauren and baby Jack. After lunch we went back to Lauren and Leah's house for coffee and play time:D ( and to relax after the huge amount of delish food we had just eaten LOL)

In the evening Lauren and I went to visit the newest addition to our family, baby Oliver. Oliver is 2 weeks old and the first baby to my dear nephew and Godson Ryan and his lovely wife Lesley. What a wee cutie, he has a mop of beautiful chestnut hair and is just perfect.

It's so good to spend quality time with family and friends.

FIRST SHOES!!!

Baby Jack got his first pair of "Real" shoes yesterday:D He's been walking for a few weeks but we knew that it was best to wait for a month or so before putting him into big boy's shoes LOL. He's so pleased with them and wants to wear them all the time. Will post photos as soon as I find my camera cable.......yes!! still looking Grrrr!!

More Christmas Cards !

I was really productive on Sunday "GASP" and managed to make over twenty Christmas cards.(That's exceptionally good for me) I was at a 12 crop at Fee's so I really had no chance of leaving with only a couple made :lol: I suppose the fact that the 20 or so cards consisted of only 2 designs did help. he! he!! Will post a photo later as I can't find my camera lead atm ........... wanders off muttering ......

I'm Back !!!

I've been poorly for the last ten days with the dreaded lurgy! Got "the bug" from baby Jack well, we are teaching him to share :lol:
Anyway...I was at my BF Fee's today and I actually made some cards...OK I finished 1 and prepared lots (again) Fee made 3 cards ( she would) don't think she prepared any though. he! he!

More Photos of Our Baby Jack...

Isn't he just the sweetest wee pet. The top photo was taken on one of the hot days in July ( yes, there were some hot days)at Blairdrummond Safari Park. The second one was at Auntie Fee and Uncle Jim's shop, The Papercraft Company.
Jack's been unwell since Monday and now has a bad cough :( There should be a law against babies being ill, it's just not fair :( Hopefully he'll have a better sleep tonight and then mummy will too. ( and gran and grandpa).

A Great Day...

I spent the day with my BFF Fee. We had a real chill out time crafting and eating yummy apple pie SLURP ( after lunch. LOL) !!! We designed and made some cards and scor-pal items ( I just LOVE that board)and just had a good old natter.

Still Here!

I've been AWOL for a few days again for a couple of reasons :(
1. The house is STILL dusty and it's driving me mad now Arrrggggghh.
2. The slip disk at the top of my back is extremely sore again Wimppppp
3. I can only clean for a while and then have to rest Arrrrrggghhhh

Ok moan over :lol:
It's been pouring here all day and guess who forgot to bring in the washing yesterday evening? My sunlounge looks like a launderette :lol:
My big sis and I sat in Kelvingrove park yesterday and blethered for Scotland, we haven't been there for years and it was so relaxing and just what I needed for an hour :) I say BIG sis but she's only five feet one and half my size :lol:
I'm off now for a scout around the craft sites before bed.....night night

AHHHHHH!!!

Had a great day catching up with my BF Fee, Izzy and Sandra. I know I was away only 1 week BUT a lot can happen in 7 days :LOL:.... AND........Fee had new Christmas papers from My Mind's Eye which I NEEDED !!! happy days :lol:
Blair starts back to school on Tuesday :( I've always missed the kids when the hols are finished, everyone tells me I'm strange :LOL:

Honey . . .I'm Home . . .

After a good week in St. Andrews :) The weather wasn't great but we were lucky and weren't kept in at all. Baby Jack had a high temp from monday evening and was a bit unsettled for a few nights (sorry neighbours) but had a great time at the beach and loved getting his feet wet and crawling in the water.
We came back to more dust everywhere!!! So the cleaning started again :(:(

WOOHOO!!!

At last the plumbers, tilers, joiners and plasterers are finished!!! I can't tell you how pleased i am with the result. It's FAB! Only problem is the mess left behind...not by the tradesmen, by the plaster dust EVERYWHERE!!! :(:( Anyhoo, it will keep settling for a few days so lots of cleaning expected :sigh:
Maybe after everything is tidied I may even get some scrapping done, now wouldn't that be a novelty :lol:

The Mayhem Continues...

Day 2 in the saga of " the new bathroom " !!!
The walls have been boarded and skimmed....the bath is in place....the house is covered in plaster dust AGAIN!!!
Someone, in a moment of madness cleaned, hoovered and dusted everywhere downstairs this morning..........have a guess.........YES...... all covered in plaster dust yet again by 5pm :(:(:(
Tomorrow the floor will be laid and the bath boxed in. New door and floor tiles are next and hopefully much less dust!!!

Who Wanted A New bathroom???

OMG!!! What started off as simply a new bathroom has become a much larger job. Once the old tiles were removed, the plaster crumbled on every wall !! The plaster dust is everywhere and guess who didn't close their craftroom or bedroom doors???? Our poor plumbers are choking as I type this and should have been wearing masks but didn't expect a dust storm.
The work won't be finished till Friday now and we go off to St Andrews on Saturday morning .Thankfully Craig and Storm will be at home incase anything unforseen happens.

I've Been AWOL !!

I promised myself I would post every day...... well, that didn't last long LOL!
The days have whizzed passed since Thursday....
Friday saw a mad dash around tile stores to find the perfect tiles for our new bathroom. Nothing like leaving things till the last minute, the work starts tomorrow!! Having found said tiles in the first store ( we still had to check 3 others just to be sure) I then had to persuade Alan to come along this morning to make sure he liked them too. Thankfully he did! :) :)
Yesterday my bf Fee held a 12 hour crop at her shop. We all had great fun as usual with tons of eating drinking and scrapping being done :):) I even managed to find a bit of my mojo and complete a few layouts !!!

Ladies Who Lunch...

Today Lauren, Jack and I had lunch with our bfs Sandra, Lauren and Leah. Sandra and I both have daughters, both our daughters are called Lauren, both are 22 and are now friends ...they both have babies...my Lauren has Jack who is just over 14 months and Sandra's Lauren has Leah who will be one on Friday. We had a super lunch and ended the day at The Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, looking for Bobby the stuffed deer for Sandra ( it's a long story) LOL.

An Old Old Layout...

Thought I should maybe show a layout to prove I do actually scrap (now and again) :LOL:

This is beautiful Storm after she had been shaved :( :( :( She normally has a long coat but due to a fortnight in the kennels and no brushing ..... she had to have a haircut.

Well, I'm trying out all the edit and layout buttons AND haven't made too many boo boo's yet......but there is still time :lol:
My bf Fee and I had a great time yesterday changing things around in her shop "The Papercraft Company" The idea started quite small and seemed to G.R.O.W very quickly :lol: We were pretty pleased with the end result ( actually we were delighted).

AT LAST !!!

My little blog is ready to "go live".......very basic atm but hopefully that will change soon.
